Wafid, formerly known as GAMCA (Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association), is the official platform for scheduling mandatory medical tests for individuals traveling to GCC countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

Anyone applying for a work visa, family visa, or residency visa to a GCC country must undergo a Wafid medical examination at an approved center before the visa is issued.

To book your appointment, you will need:

  • Valid passport

  • Passport-size photograph

  • Destination country and visa type

  • Email ID and mobile number

No. Once the Wafid medical slip is generated, it cannot be canceled, edited, or refunded. Ensure all information is accurate before submission.

The examination usually includes:

  • Blood tests (HIV, Hepatitis B & C)

  • Chest X-ray (for Tuberculosis)

  • Physical examination

  • Urine tests
    Additional tests may be performed based on visa type or country requirements.

Results are usually available within 24 to 48 hours after the test. You can check your status on the Wafid website using your passport number.

The six GCC countries that require Wafid (GAMCA) medical tests are:

No. The Wafid system auto-assigns a medical center based on your location and availability. Manual selection is not allowed.

  • FIT: You are medically cleared to travel to the selected GCC country.

  • UNFIT: You are not eligible due to a health condition. You may need to wait or seek clarification depending on the country.

The medical report is typically valid for 90 days from the date of the test. You must complete your visa process within this period.
